Dive computers – Ian McKinnon

It is rare to find divers these days who dive without dive computers. Multiple dives in the one day without long surface intervals cannot be done without the use of a dive computer.

Computers have improved over the years. They are considered very safe provided they are used correctly. It is important their batteries are well charged before use. If a dive computer’s battery fails during the dive then it is common practice to stop all further diving for twenty four hours.

A course on dive computers is available at professional dive shops. They are low cost and offer good value for money.

At Scuba World we provide a FREE 1 hour Suunto computer course with every dive computer we sell. If you have a Suunto computer that you purchased elsewhere, and would like to get the most out of it, enrol in a course for $99.
