Terms & Conditions

At Scuba World we regard a booking as a firm commitment. Your booking is subject to the following conditions.

No refunds are possible once a course has been paid for unless a legitimate medical form can be produced (i.e. failing your dive medical). If you leave your medical until the last week and fail it, a late cancellation fee of $100 will be incurred.

A minimum of 2 people is required to start a course. If we don’t get minimum numbers you will be transferred to the next available course. This course will be guaranteed to run regardless of minimum number requirements.

Transfer of dates with more than 7 days’ notice will incur a $20 administration fee.

Transfer of dates within 7 days of your course will incur loss of all monies paid.

Failure to complete home study (manual) will incur a $100 administration fee.

Make up dives to complete your course will be charged at an additional price of $50 each. This price will include a tank & the necessary equipment hire. Make up dives will be scheduled to be completed in the next available course.

Course must be completed within 6 months of sign up (excludes any special promotions with conditions specified).

Places on courses can only be booked when full payment has been received. Deposits on courses will hold you in the “reserve” position for that course, places on courses fill quickly.

Why do we have this policy?

When you make a reservation on a course, administrative costs are incurred and bookings are made by us with the pool, our boat & instructors. Scuba World will hold the course place for you and turn others away who would like to book in your place. With transfers of dates and cancellations, it is unlikely your place can be re-sold. Cancellations mid-course are not eligible for partial refunds as Scuba World has already paid for the pool, boat and instructors for their service required to run the course.
